Caroline Loos, PhD, is Equine Nutritionist and Head of Research at Cavalor. She earned her doctorate at the University of Kentucky, where she later completed postdoctoral research in nutrition, physiology, and endocrinology. Her work has focused on the interaction between diet, metabolism, and disease, with particular emphasis on muscle protein metabolism and insulin dysregulation. At Cavalor, Caroline leads projects exploring the effects of diet and plant-based additives on gut health, microbial function, and intestinal permeability in both in vivo and in vitro models.
