I am a veterinary graduate from the Federal University of Pelotas, RS, Brazil, with a particular interest in Animal Reproduction. My interest in this field dates back to my childhood, as I grew up working on my family’s cattle and horse ranch. After graduating from veterinary school, I worked as a stud farm veterinarian during the 2013–2014 breeding season. Thereafter, I got enrolled in a Master’s Program in Animal Reproductive Biotechnology at São Paulo State University (UNESP) when I worked with endometritis and embryo transfer in mares. Upon completion of my Master's, I worked in a large breeding center where I produced ~200 embryos/year from 2016–2018. Although I was content with my work, I felt the urge to pursue my research passions, so I enrolled in a PhD program at UNESP in collaboration with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA. After completing my PhD, I took on a position as a post-doctoral fellow at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, before becoming an Assistant Professor of Theriogenology. Additionally, I have been involved in the Postgraduate program of UNESP as a Guest Professor.
