Dr. Claire Card earned 3 degrees from Cornell University. She is a full professor, clinician scientist, and director of the Equine Reproduction Service at the Univ. of Saskatchewan. Claire’s research areas include: the effects of iodine and thyroid health on fetal programming, breeding management, and pregnancy recognition. She leads a One Health program in Africa for poor rural women and girls and their livestock. She is a past president of the ACT, and was Theriogenologist of the Year in 2020. She loves to: run, read, cook, garden, spend time with family, volunteer for social justice causes, and organize climate rallies.
