Kali is originally from Austin, Texas, where she developed a love for horses at a young age while riding at a local stables. Kali completed an undergraduate degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2013, and then graduated from veterinary school at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.
Following graduation, Kali served as a Veterinary Corps Officer in the United States Army, working in the animal health, public health, and food safety missions. Kali completed a large animal internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center in 2025, achieving DACVIM board certification. She is currently an internal medicine fellow at the New Bolton Center.
