Dr. Amy McLean is an Associate Professor of Equine Science at UC Davis whose lifelong passion for donkeys and mules shapes her teaching and research. Raised on a donkey and mule farm in Georgia, she has conducted research in over 35 countries and published extensively on donkeys, mules and working equids. Beyond academia, she serves on multiple nonprofit boards such as the Equitarian Iniatitive, American Fonduk and competes nationally with her mule, Big Star Sarge, promoting the abilities and value of long-eared equids.
