Dr. Elin Hernlund is a veterinary scientist and clinician internationally recognised for her pioneering work in applying artificial intelligence and computer vision to animal health. She is senior lecturer in clinical and functional anatomy at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), where she leads the Animal Locomotion Laboratory. Her research focuses on developing and validating digital tools for objective motion analysis, lameness detection, and welfare monitoring in horses and other species.
