Dr. McCoy is an Associate Professor and board-certified equine surgeon at the University of Illinois. Her current research endeavors are focused on genetic factors influencing musculoskeletal disease and the role of early exercise on gait development, bone modeling, and fracture prevention. Dr. McCoy is the director of the equine internship and surgery residency programs at the University of Illinois and is passionate about training and educating the next generation of surgeons and clinician-scientists.
