Zach Loppnow is an equine surgery resident at Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics in Salinas, California. Originally from Minnesota, he graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. He completed a private practice internship and worked in equine private practice in Minnesota as a general practitioner for 4 years prior to going back to an internship at Iowa State Univeristy. He accepted a residency position at Steinbeck after this internship, starting down the residency path. He has spoken at schools across the country, and is passionate about early career education and remains involved with the AAEP in multiple facets. Professionally, his surgical interests lie in arthroscopy and soft tissue surgery with an emphasis in the acute abdomen
