Dr. Drumond was born and raised in Brazil, with an early connection to the equine world that included living in Ocala, Florida, where her father introduced the Brazilian horse breed to the region. After earning her veterinary degree in Brazil, she pursued her goal to become an equine radiologist.
Her training began with internships in South Africa and California, where she had the opportunity to meet and start training remotely with Dr. Natasha Werpy. Dr. Drumond returned briefly to Brazil to work with equine imaging at Horse Center, in Rio de Janeiro, before relocating to France. There, she spent nearly six years at VetAgro Sup (University of Lyon), completing a 2.5-year position as an imaging assistant in large animals, followed by a three-year ECVDI residency program.
Dr. Drumond completed her training in January 2025, successfully passing the European Board examination. She then decided to join Dr. Werpy at Equine Diagnostic Imaging Inc as an equine radiologist.
