Natasha Werpy is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and specializes in equine imaging. She has dedicated her career to helping the horse by improving the diagnostic techniques available with imaging and has had a strong focus on musculoskeletal imaging of the equine athlete. She graduated from the Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO (CSU) in 1999. After completing an equine internship in 1999-2000, she completed an imaging internship with Dr. Norman Rantanen followed by a diagnostic imaging residency with Dr. Rantanen and CSU. She worked as the Medical Imaging Director at the Gail Holmes Equine Orthopaedic Research Center at Colorado State University from 2004–2011, then worked part-time as an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Florida in Gainesville from 2011-2016. Natasha is currently a private practice equine radiologist and owner/president of Equine Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. She works with several board-certified radiologists and residents. She is a consulting radiologist for numerous different practices and universities, both in the US and internationally. Natasha’s primary interest is clinical diagnostic imaging of the equine athlete, specifically musculoskeletal imaging, with an emphasis on MRI and ultrasound. More recently, her focus has been on developing techniques for dynamic CT myelograms.
