Dr. Sarah Colmer, a 2017 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, completed a rotating internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in New Jersey and another back at New Bolton CEnter before achieving board certification in Internal Medicine upon completing her first residency in 2022. She then pursued a fellowship in neurology under Dr. Amy Johnson at New Bolton Center and has more recently divided her time between NBC and the Matthew J. Ryan Hospital in Philadelphia as she works toward a second board certification in Neurology. Her primary research focus is neurodegenerative disease in horses. She is deeply passionate about educating veterinary students as well as lecturing for practitioners. In her spare time, she enjoys running, riding her Peloton and traveling with her husband Matthew and their dog Nova.
